The fantastic:
I got this in the mail right now and I have to say it looks much better in individual the white and gold appear quite sleek (five stars for it really is looks). I read some fine critiques about this helicopter on-line and decided it would be a good upgrade from my 2 channel propel mini rc heli which performs well and has gone two years and hundreds upon hundreds of crashes with out breaking when. But adequate about my old heli, the 107g is a wonderful mini helicopter it is three.five channel manage permits the pilot to control lift, left and suitable turning, and forward / reverse which is awesome! five stars for being an reasonably priced 3.5 channel heli. The quality of this heli is wonderful, the manufacturer actually spared no expense in working with wonderful parts on this good little heli(5 stars for good quality). I've crashed it a couple of times and it doesn't show a single scratch, I give durability four stars because I've barely owned it
The Negative:
In all honesty, this heli performs precisely as it need to. My only complaint is that the heli is not incredibly rapidly out of the box. Contemplating it really is an indoor helicopter, slower speeds are without a doubt a really good function for those who haven't mastered the controls. This can't actually be considered a significant complaint thinking about how simply it can be modified to let quicker speeds for even more advanced flyers (next section).
Mods:
1.) Just after reading about obtaining aftermarket rotor blades, spinning the rotor upside down, and so on etc, I decided to simply eliminate a handful of pieces of the helicopter. I removed the two bars and the piece connecting them to the tail bar, along with the tail fin (not to be confused with the rotor). This does a couple of things: 1) lowers weight of the helicopter two) increases power (due to weight loss) 3) increases battery life (due to weight loss) 4) makes the heli significantly more rapidly and alot more responsive. Please note that the heli will be a lot more rapidly than just before, but it will be slightly less stable due to the lowered weight and elevated speeds. Take it quick the very first few times around the living space, it will take some receiving use to.
two.) If your a speed freak and want the fastest s107g out there then you can also eliminate the landing bars. I don't advise this for a compact inside region as it can make it complicated to navigate about furniture and tight spaces. I would advise this for people who fly in sizeable indoor areas or outside as the speed improve can be entertaining. If that is not rapidly enough for you, then you can attempt the rotor flipping mod and replace the stock rotor with some fancy aftermarket 1. If that isn't rapidly sufficient then, beneficial for you, you have a house the size of a football field. :p
Breif Assessment:
The 107g is a great mini rc helicopter, looks wonderful, flies great, has outstanding stability. It is a little slow out of the box, but that can effortlessly be fixed (see mods section above). Overall I rate this tiny heli a five/five. It has every thing I want in an indoor heli and I could not be happier for this low price. If you like flying the two channel indoor heli's then this is a amazing upgrade!
